If you Missed it…You really missed it. My Assistant (my son) is obsessed with Jean Michel Basquiat. So when I had a chance to take him with me to the Basquait exhibit at the Brooklyn’s museum last year, I jumped at it. To say it was amazing was an understatement. So when They had an Andy Warhol: The Last Decade, exhibition at the museum, I had to go and see it.
Andy Warhol Brooklyn Museum's "last Decade Exhibition
Known as th eFather of Pop Art. He was also a mentor and collaborator with Baquiat on some of his later works.
According to the Museum’s website, the exhibit “encompassed nearly fifty works, the exhibition reveals the artist’s vitality, energy, and renewed spirit of experimentation. During this time Warhol produced more works, in a considerable number of series and on a vastly larger scale, than at any other point in his forty-year career. It was a decade of great artistic development for him, during which a dramatic transformation of his style took place alongside the introduction of new techniques.”
The exhibit was amazing but don’t take my word for it see it yourself.
