While most people went to Fashion week with their eye on the clothes, Popular Fashion Website Refinery 29, was paying a little closer attention to detail, when they did a piece about the nail trends for the 2011 season.
If you are like me, you go bold with color in the summer and more muted in the fall. I very rarely pay attention to the nail trends but more so dance to the beat of my own drum.
But I do have few favorite nail trends , that debuted on the runways this season.
Go Nude
Go Nude
Opi Nude Nail polish available at Sephora
Nude nail polish spotted at a plethora of spring shows (like Marc Jacobs, Jason Wu, and Yigal Azrouel); Nude is always a way to have a clean understated nail color that will match almost anything in your closet. The trick is to find a nude that has a slight punch of color. One of My Favorite Nudes are. Moody by OPI and they now have a line of nail polish available at Sephora which are free of DBP, Toluene, and Formaldehyde.
Bloody Murder
Famed designer Jason Wu is not only designing clothing but now a line of nail polish with the brand CND and one of the colors from the line that I absolutely love with the Blood Red..
Now This darker shade of red definitely adds an twist and edge to the old standard.
Bold Gold

Uhm I feel like we’ve covered this already in our post on (foil nail designs and Minx) but tuh, apparently the team at Dashing Diva did nails for this upcoming season and they decided to use Gold Nail Foils. They were applied to the nails with clear nail polish and added on an additional coat.
Moon Manicure

This aint your momma’s French. This new twist on the old French manicure although it still uses a nude base color, it uses a black color or another bright color to make this design pop.
Matte Black

Go Figure can you image all the time you’ve wasted trying to get those perfectly shiny nails. Well with the move towards Matte Nail polish this is a definite departure of the norm. For the Jeremy Scott show,Dashing Diva Nail tech applied a black polish, then created a matte effect with Make It Matte top coat.
