The Single Girls Guide to Men Was the Brain Child of the Site Creator writer Nikita Banks. Ms Banks has worked in the world of Sports and Entertainment as a correspondent for many national publications such as ESPN the Magazine, ESPN.com, King, Hip Hop Weekly, Smooth and more.
The perpetually single Banks started what has turned into this website as a novel in 2004, in response to all of the issues she had encountered with her friends.
“It seemed to me that there was an invisible war going on or competition with the haves and the have notes when it came to women who were married or in relationships as opposed to single women.” Said Banks, “It seemed as if the single women lacked what the married women had ei. the stability or in some cases steady relationship situation, while the married women lacked the things that the single women possess such as the drive, desire and constant caring and nurturing of the relationship that they posses. I think many times as single women, we do whatever it takes in a way to gain the attentions and affections of men, and go hard in such a way, that when we ultimately find that relationship, we loose perspective of the fact that now we must try to maintain some of the spark of how we got them in order to keep him.”
So I hope you sit back and enjoy and by all means feel free to participatehatever it takes in a way to gain the attentions and affections of men, and go hard in such a way, that when we ultimately find that relationship, we loose perspective of the fact that now we must try to maintain some of the spark of how we got them in order to keep him.”
For me the Single Girl’s Guide to Men is a place where we as women can come together in one place and help one another with out the constraints of girlfriend drama and share our common experiences to help each other get a clear perspective of our shared experiences as women. There have been plenty of times I wished I had a big sister or someone to come and help me through some of my messes and My goal is to make sure that here at the Guide we have a safe place to share, learn and have some fun all in the name of sisterhood.
